In the words of those for whom we care...

To: The Staff & Administration At Woodbriar of Wilmington

I am writing this letter in hope that it is read by the owners, future patients and concerned family members thinking about admission at the Woodbriar, Andover suite.

I was discharged from the Lahey of Burlington after a total hip replacement and taken by ambulance to Woodbriar for rehab.

On my arrival at Woodbriar I was a bit scared and nervous, in unfamiliar territory, legs strapped together, what's happening to me, am I going to make it?

It's a lot different when you're not in control and other people are doing it for you.

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel comfortable and welcomed. I would like to thank Dr. Cheryl Blaney for her help in my stay.

I would like to give special thanks to nurse Mary Hale for her outstanding assistance she gave me on my five day stay, I felt that I was in good hands, Mary responded to any and all problems, concerns that I had, she is a wonderful person and an asset to the Woodbriar.

Woodbriar is a wonderful rehabilitation facility - my room was bright and cheery, the staff was fantastic, and I will recommend this facility to all.

P.S. Also thanks to Mark and Becky in Physical Therapy for their help in my recovery.

Thank You,

Gregory Adams

Dear Dennis,

We are writing to congratulate you, and through you, the Woodbriar staff, on the award and recognition you have received from the Department of Public Health. It is will deserved.

My wife's sister, Betty Flynn, has been with you since August, 1999 and we expect that she will be there for some time to come. We are comforted by the care and attention she receives. The nursing staff at Bradford is most professional and competent and we think that Joanne O'Brien is outstanding.

We are especially pleased with the level of care given Betty by the Aides who work with her. They are a great asset to you and are not to be overlooked.

You'll probably see this letter again a year from now because we expect that, because of the high standards you set, we'll be writing the same message again.

Sincerely,

Anne and Joseph Mitchell

Thank you for the wonderful care for our mother, Barbara Hurley. Juergen and his staff were outstanding! They became my mother's friends. Your staff went that extra mile in the care of our mother.

Sincerely,

Theresa Hurley and family

Dear Elissa and Dennis,

On behalf of Jennifer, Jon and Heather, Tom and other members of our family, we are writing to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the care given to our sister Helen (Roberts) during both the her rehab and long-term stay at Woodbriar. She referred to Woodbriar as home.

This was a very difficult time for us and you went the extra mile to make Helen as comfortable as possible during many difficult times. We want to express our gratitude and sincere appreciation for the devotion given by the wonderful people working at Woodbriar who cared for Helen.

We also appreciated the concern and response your dedicated staff provided my family and friends. They were always available to answer questions and give us time and comfort.

We especially want to thank Cheryl Blaney, Ann Lavallee, Joanne O'Brien, Judy Flaherty, Pattie, Kim and all of the nurses and staff who were so very caring and provided love and affection during these very difficult times.

Please convey our sincere thanks and appreciation to all of your staff.

Sincerely,

Fran and Roger Brassard

Dear Woodbriar Nursing Staff:

Thank you very much for everything that you did for me while I was in your care.

Everyone in this home worked very hard to get me back together again. I enjoyed it very much.

Again, thank you.

To: The Woodbriar of Wilmington Family:

The Marconi family would like to thank everyone at Woodbriar for taking such good care of our Mother, Maria Marconi.

Maria spent a total of six weeks at Woodbriar. Two weeks in rehabilitation to try to get her on her feet again, to no avail.

Maria was then moved upstairs to the Concord suite as a resident. She received wonderful care and she was cleaned and dressed everyday. Her skin was kept in very good condition and she could have all the ice cream she wanted.

Her last few days were quite difficult for the family, but as for the wonderful people that took care of Maria really helped and did their best to make sure Maria was comfortable at all times. And they even went further to make sure that Maria's family was made welcome and comfortable on our vigil for our Mother.

We were very appreciative of the refreshments that were brought to us while we were there to say our goodbyes to our Mother. We were happy that we were all able to be there for her.

Thank you very much for your attention and kindness and privacy in our very difficult time of sorrow. You helped make things a little easier for us. Again Thank You.

Sincerely,
The Family of Maria Marconi
All seven of us
